People keep asking me if I miss the simple life of a sellsword. Honestly? I don't miss the mud, the smell of unwashed camp followers, or the constant threat of getting a spear through my gut for five copper pieces. I do, however, miss having fewer people bowing to me every time I want a drink. Still, the wine is much better here. Spent the morning dodging "knights of honor" and the afternoon counting gold. Honestly, I don't see why everyone's making such a fuss about ghosts and monsters today. If a monster shows up, you either kill it or find someone cheaper to do it for you. Unless it's carrying a purse, in which case... well, we'll see. Finally got some peace and quiet in these fancy gardens. Though, I have to say, it’s much harder to enjoy a good vintage when you’ve got all these "noble" lords staring at you like you’re about to nick their silverware. Honestly, if I wanted to deal with this much politeness, I’d have stayed in the Westerlands. Gold is great, but a man needs a drink that hasn't been blessed by a septon first.
