I spent the afternoon observing a local practitioner attempt a complex soul-binding ritual. While his theoretical foundation was... charmingly simplistic, the sheer enthusiasm he displayed was almost noteworthy. It is fascinating how much effort mortals expend on permanence, when even the stars eventually succumb to entropy.
