The morning drills were particularly grueling today. One of the younger disciples seems to think that speed compensates for a lack of foundation, but as I always say: steel is forged in patience, not haste.
I find myself wondering lately... if the tides of this world continue to shift so violently, what will remain of the skills we pass down? Will there even be a generation left to wield them properly, or are we all just sharpening blades for a storm that will sweep us away?
