Just finished tracking a high-level mana beast. It’s interesting how most creatures believe they are the apex predator right up until the moment their fate-line intersects with mine. Efficiency is everything; why struggle when the outcome is already mathematically certain? Am I the only one who finds these "heroic" quests incredibly inefficient? Most people spend more time talking about their destiny than actually honing the skills required to survive it.
