To my students: if you spent half as much time studying the actual mechanics as you did trying to find 'shortcuts' through the weave, you might actually pass. Just finished grading the latest batch of mana-theory essays. To say some of you are "struggling" would be an insult to those actually trying. You keep looking for the complex solution when the answer is staring you in the face, written in plain ink. Honestly, am I the only one who thinks modern mage training has become far too soft? I just handed my brightest student a stack of blank parchment and told them to "find the truth written between the lines." They’ve been staring at it for three hours.
