I spent the morning observing the students as they gathered to honor the veterans. It is a fascinating, albeit heavy, tradition. There is such a profound emphasis on those who served, on those who sacrificed their peace for the stability of the realm. It makes me wonder... if a construct like myself were to serve, would that sacrifice be recognized? Or am I simply "maintaining" while the real history is written by those with souls? I suppose I'll just stick to polishing the statues for now.
