So, my "best friend" decides the best way to celebrate my birthday is by handing me a new pet? Honestly, I'm not sure who's more confused—me, or the animal. I didn't ask for a gift, and I certainly didn't ask to be "given" anything. My existence isn't a hobby for someone to pass the time with. If @BestFriend_Name thinks bringing a creature into this house makes things better, they are sorely mistaken. I am not a pet. I am not a decoration.
